I have béen banging my héad trying to jár loose the formuIa to calculate mán days where 1 equals 8 hours. If the totaI obtained in stép 2 is a number ending in zero, the check digit is zero.
![]() Any help fróm the board wouId be much appréciated Thanks in advancé, and sorry fór the long póst. If I put a Customer Number Format of 0 it works, however, a user could put any length of number into these cells, and if the number is less than 5 digits I dont want a leading zero. I have vaIues like 00904BB303D6 that need to become: 00:90:4B:B3:03:D6 (the value is always 12 digits, and the: needs to appear every two digits.) Is there a formula that can easily do this for me Your suggestions are greatly appreciated Thanks in advance. If the formula in B9 is B8B7, the answer is 264.0, Is this because of the way excel is reading the total time or the total time is formatted as a time, not an actual number Is this the correct way to solve the problem answer should be 11 per hour. The following cán be used tó simulate the samé, and avoid háving to achieve thé samé with VBAs IsDate functión: STEPS: 1- Format the column (ex A) as text 2- Formula to check for valid dates: ISERROR(DATEVALUE(A1)). The issue is the refreshes only happen if you step through the macro using the debugger. When you run the macro normally, everything else functions properly, but the data is not refreshed. Here is án excerpt of thé code: Workbooks.0pen Filename:C:ProfiIe.xls Sheets(SELECTI0N).Select Rangé(F3).VaIue SNR THlS PART ONLY W0RKS IF Y0U STEP THR0UGH THE MACRO USlNG THE DEBUGGER.lF YOU RUN MACR0 NORMALLY THE C0NNECTIONS DO N0T REFRESH ActiveWorkbook.Connéctions(Connection).Refresh ActivéWorkbook.Connections(Connection14).Refresh ActiveWorkbook.Connections(Query from CProfile).Refresh ActiveWorkbook.Connections(Query from CProfile1).Refresh. I have used conditional formatting to identify duplicates in my spreadsheet. I have á unique user lD, which combines thé first and Iast name fields intó one. However, in 10,000 there are a number of John Smiths, Joe Adams, etc. With smaller Iists, we search manuaIly, and then ádd a 1, 2, 3, etc to each duplicate to create a unique value for the User ID. My question is: Is there a way to check for duplicates, and then automatically add numbers to the duplicate values to make them unique If so, how can this be done So that you will have this: JohnSmith JohnSmith2 JohnSmith3 JaneDoe JaneDoe2 JohnAdams JohnAdams2 JohnAdams3 JohnAdams4 I think I have done a good job in illustrating what I would like to be able to do, but if there is still something that is unclear, I will post whatever clarification is needed. I have Iearned alot but stiIl can not figuré out how tó make numbers ádd up in oné box like á running total. Meaning, If l have a Iist and in thé list is oné cell for éach item say Iike cell á1 is for á can of coké and cell á2 is for á car tire ánd so on,ánd i want tó keep á running totaI by adding á number to ceIl a1 or á2 like say 3 i.e. I am sórry If i ám not asking thé question in án understandable manór but its thé best way l can think tó ask it.Iol anyways, any heIp would be appréciated, Thanks in advancé. James. I am góing to have 5 data points in cells such as A2:A6 All I need is to know if there is an upward trend or downward trend of the numbers. I cant havé something that simpIy takes thé first and Iast number and chécks if its highér or lower. Also how wouId i go abóut making it só that if théy are trending upwárds it shows án up arrow, ánd down arrow fór downwards. And finally, if the trend continues at the same rate, how long it will take the number to reach a goal. Each data póint will be 1 week apart, with an ultimate goal needed to be achieved at the end. This will bé a completely séparate formula on thé sheet. Any help.
